CBSE to conduct 10th Optional Proficiency Test
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to
take Optional Proficiency Test for the students of class 10th in
April 2014. This test will begin from April 14, 2014 and it will be end on
April 18, 2014. The syllabus for the Optional Proficiency test is based on the
course of the class 9th and 10th.
The test will include
the concept application questions from the syllabus of 9th and 10th
class. This test will be conducted after the final exams of 10th
class. The Optional Proficiency Test will be taken nation-wide and it will be
considered as the centralized scale of the understanding of subject.

about the relevant subject from the students of other schools. This test is
also beneficial for the schools as well that it will give them a view
concerning their teaching style. The participating students will get
certificates and percentile positions from CBSE.

will focus on capability, proficiency and understanding based questions while
memory based questions will be excluded. Mode of questions will be of comparing,
observing, analyzing and judging.
English will be conducted on April 14, 2014, the exam of Mathematics will be on
15th April 2014, the exam of Science will be held on 16th
April 2014, Social Science exam will be on April 17, 2014 and at the last Hindi
exam will be on 18th April 2014. Registration fees for 1 Subject is
Rs 300, for 2 Subjects is Rs 400, for 3 Subjects is Rs 500 and 4 or 5 Subjects
is Rs 600.
